And Dooku is politician and very smart person. His method succeeded because he “inserted“ suspicions between the Jedi but never revealed who Darth Sidious really was. I think in the
beginning Dooku was indeed good person with some doubts but in the end of AOTC we see him obsessed by the power of the Dark Side.
