With the most recent episodes, Star and Marco are
now a canonical couple by the end of "Here To Help" and their relationship as a couple so far is overwhelmingly positive with the sheer closeness that they shared in the next few episodes.
Why does Marco have cheek marks?
Given that the marks are the same phase of the moon as the Blood Moon Ball, the encounter with the moon's light caused his cheeks to have the magical marking of the moon if his cheeks were ever to glow. ... But Marco's cheek marks are
simply a result of over magical exposure.
Why is Tom's eyes black?
Tom meant for them to be fully black eyes which were
caused by the counterpart being possessed by a demon that would take control of Tom's body in moments of extreme anger. Edd decided to take his own approach to the new look and portray them simply as empty sockets.
